    Congratulations to all students who auditioned for the NEKMEA District Orchestra. This year, a record setting 22 students were accepted into the ensemble. They are:

  • All baseball players interested in trying out for the 2025-26 baseball team, please meet coach Brown in the north gym during the 1st half of T-Bird Time Wednesday, November 19.       
  • SHHS TUTORING: Need some extra help with your studies? Go by the Library and see a tutor Wednesday mornings, high schoolers ONLY. You can sign up with the QR code posted around the building.
  • SHHS SPORTS: Physical Form: Students, if you are trying out for a Winter sport, please make sure you have your physical turned into Mrs. Shackelford in the office no later than 2pm on Monday, November 17th.
  • Parking Passes: There were over 80 cars in the parking lots yesterday without hangtags. If your car is registered with the school, please display your hang tag. If it is not registered, please visit Mrs. Lee in the main office to obtain the form today. All vehicles on campus need to be registered and have a current hang tag displayed to be allowed to park. You don't want a ticket from the SHHS officers so please make sure your car is registered!ACTIVITIES:
  • SHHS Theater Performance: •Elf the Musical: Get ready to spread some holiday cheer! Elf the Musical will be performed by the Shawnee Heights Theatre Department Thursday, Nov 20 – Saturday, Nov. 22 in the SHHS Auditorium.   • 2028 Italy Trip: We have an exciting trip to Italy with Frau Becker during Spring Break of 2028. This trip is open to students, parents, grandparents and other friends of the district. Please see Frau Becker in room 615 for more information.
  • Coffee Shop: Don't forget! The coffee shop is OPEN and located in the south commons. It will be open Wednesday-Friday before the first bell. This is also going to be our first year accepting cards, we are no longer cash only! We expect to be busy, so if you want to guarantee getting something before class starts, the earlier you show up, the better. Our new winter flavor, Peppermint Mocha, is now available and will be here through next semester.

  • Nov 19th - Washburn TECHIndividual appointments starting at 8am, we will send you a pass. Please come at your respectable time.
  • Nov. 20th - T-birds, are you ready to plan for your future? Nov. 20 from 9:45 to 10:45am Allen County will be at SHHS. Take advantage of their free college courses while attending SHHS. Please visit the counseling center to sign up or with questions.
