  • Come join us for Hot Cocoa and Donuts on Wed., December 10th in the Cafeteria at 7:15 am. Free hot cocoa and Donuts for only $1.
  • There will be no callbacks for Wait Until Dark. A complete cast list will be posted outside the auditorium and Mr. Boyer's classroom after school on Friday. Thank you to the almost THIRTY of you who came out. These decisions will be tough.
  • Seniors- please go to Canvas to vote on graduation speakers. Nominations close Friday.
  • We are excited to announce our November Students of the Month! Please congratulate these students if they are currently in your classroom. Thank you to these students for all you do to represent Shawnee Heights in a positive light.
  • Congrats to: Ethan Coles, Cianna Graves, Parker Easley, Kayleigh Gerdes, Merrik Tabor, Hunter Wisdom, Akaysha Foster, and Kathlene Carreon. Please make your way to the counseling center when you have a chance!
  • Student Council is partnering with Maxton's Fight, a local charity that supports children battling life-threatening illnesses. To support, please donate toys in the drop box outside of the mail office. Thank you!
  • Juniors and Junior T-Bird Time Teachers: Finals opt-out forms will be delivered to T-Bird Time classrooms this Wednesday, December 3rd, for those earning certification on the WorkKeys assessment. Forms are due back to the main office the following Wednesday, December 10th. If you earned the opt-out, make sure and pick up your form on Wednesday!
  • Due to the inclement weather, the first day of bowling try-outs has been cancelled. We will start the try-out sessions tomorrow after school at Gage Bowl. Stay safe!
  • SHHS TUTORING: Need some extra help with your studies? Go by the Library and see a tutor Wednesday mornings, high schoolers ONLY. You can sign up with the QR code posted around the building.
  • SHHS SPORTS:
  • Football players, after school workouts start today in the weight room at 2:50pm. If you are not out for a sport, you are expected to be there.
  • ATHLETIC SIGNINGS On December 12th at 2:45pm, Mikey Lilly will be signing to Allen County Community College for baseball and Cambren Floberg will be signing to Moberly Area Community College for baseball.
  • Are you interested in powerlifting and want to challenge yourself to get stronger? If so, please talk to Coach White or Coach O'Donnell to learn more about the team and how you can get involved.We will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:40 AM in the Weight Room. Whether you're new to lifting or experienced, this is a great opportunity to build strength, compete, and be part of a team. Don't miss out!
  • Parking Passes: There were over 80 cars in the parking lots yesterday without hangtags. If your car is registered with the school, please display your hang tag. If it is not registered, please visit Mrs. Lee in the main office to obtain the form today. All vehicles on campus need to be registered and have a current hang tag displayed to be allowed to park. You don't want a ticket from the SHHS officers so please make sure your car is registered!ACTIVITIES:
  • 2028 Italy Trip: We have an exciting trip to Italy with Frau Becker during Spring Break of 2028. This trip is open to students, parents, grandparents and other friends of the district. Please see Frau Becker in room 615 for more information.
  • Coffee Shop: Don't forget! The coffee shop is OPEN and located in the south commons. It will be open Wednesday-Friday before the first bell. This is also going to be our first year accepting cards, we are no longer cash only! We expect to be busy, so if you want to guarantee getting something before class starts, the earlier you show up, the better. Our new winter flavor, Peppermint Mocha, is now available and will be here through next semester.
